About This Service
A good social walk is about much more than placing several dogs together. Hawkes Walks considers each dog’s temperament, communication style and social skills before introducing them to a group. The aim is to create an enjoyable walk where every dog can feel comfortable and take part at an appropriate pace.
Recall is also considered before any off-lead freedom is introduced. Walks are available for 30 minutes or one hour, giving you a choice that suits your dog’s age, energy level and normal routine.
A thoughtful approach to group walking
Dogs do not all enjoy the same style of play or exercise. Careful matching helps reduce pressure and allows sociable dogs to enjoy the stimulation of walking with suitable companions. The group environment gives dogs the opportunity to explore, move and interact while their individual needs remain important.
If you are unsure whether a social walk is right for your dog, Hawkes Walks can discuss their temperament, current routine and walking preferences. Dogs who need more personal space may be better suited to a solo walk instead.
